But, high-profile scandals at elite schools notwithstanding, that’s not at all the case. The fact of the matter is, college admissions are competitive, the process can be long and confusing, and many parents simply don’t know how to get their kids in college. That’s why the best college admissions consultants have a range of services. Parents and students have a lot of possibilities.

Navigating the search.

As a parent...

As a parent, the college expenditure is the second largest of your life; only a mortgage costs more. Furthermore, you serve two purposes: what is best for your son/daughter and what is best for your family’s resources? After all, there may be more siblings to educate, elder care, and…retirement.

I’ll help your student understand what needs to get done, have them identify what works and produce choices with which they are comfortable. I ask students to self-evaluate, encourage them to take responsibility for their own education, and keep them on track. At the same time, I recognize they have busy lives. Ideally, it is best to meet early in their high school years when they are freshmen or sophomores, however, anytime you find CollegeXroads, is the time for you to start a successful journey.

My directed process helps to guide students in choosing classes, outside activities and understanding how grades affect ultimate college choices. The program includes personalized meetings to ensure your student is selecting a college where they can succeed and fit in. The process I use with students includes a timetable to ensure deadlines are not missed.
